Harrison Lange, Technical Director, and Designer

My name is Harrison Lange and I appreciate your review of my portfolio. I believe I am the perfect candidate for your theatre company. I am currently the Technical Director at San Diego School for Performing Arts in addition I am a scenic technical designer for MEI. I earned my BFA in Theatre Design and Technology with a focus on Technical Directing from the University of Southern Mississippi. During the course of my early career, I’ve worked as A1 for over 25 musicals and two straight plays, acted as scenic designer for two shows, and been associate technical director at Bay Street Theatre’s 2022 summer stock season. I have had the privilege of working with students and staff at CYT, JCC Theater, Bay Street Theatre, Patrick Henry High, the Coronado Playhouse, and the University of Southern Mississippi where I have learned varied and valuable professional skills such as communication, organization, and determination. Whether working on academic, extracurricular, professional projects, or volunteer work, I apply proven technical skills, which I hope to leverage into a role at your company. In addition to my theater technical skills in sound, I was the President of Patrick Henry’s Robotics team, and lead my team to the World Championship for the first time in our team’s history and then again 2 years later. Through that, I learned leadership skills, advanced fabrication, design skills, and reinforced my focus on teamwork. Since then I give back to that community by volunteering as a mentor for two high school robotics teams.
